German companies could see national GDPR fining protocol next year, official says

German companies could see updates to a national data-protection fining protocol as early as next year, an official of the privacy regulator of Baden-Württemberg has said.

The different state-level authorities in Germany last year set out more specific requirements for imposing fines on companies for violating the EU’s General Data
