Gas producers, suppliers face EU antitrust scrutiny over price spikes

Allegations that anticompetitive conduct is behind surging gas prices in Europe have triggered a review by the EU's antitrust enforcer.
The European Commission said it was examining complaints to “verify” if the current turmoil on wholesale gas markets could be “attributed to commercial conduct by market participants.”
