GAO finds US agencies are not addressing privacy risk management, calls for statute designating privacy officers

The Government Accountability Office recommended legislation requiring dedicated senior privacy officials at federal agencies, along with more than 60 other recommendations, in a report issued today titled “Privacy: Dedicated Leadership Can Improve Programs and Address Challenges.”
