Former Privatbank owners use ‘tactical ploy’ to stifle fraud trial, UK court told

The former owners of Ukraine's PrivatBank have engaged in a “tactical ploy” to stifle a multibillion-dollar civil fraud trial, including destroying documents and resisting disclosure requests, the lender has told a UK court.

PrivatBank is pursuing a civil claim for $1.9 billion, plus interest of $500,000 a day since the claim was brought, against Igor Kolomoisky
