FMC and Solvay settle hydrogen peroxide cartel damage claims, ending CDC litigation (*update)

US chemicals maker FMC has confirmed that it settled a damages lawsuit stemming from the 1990s European cartel for bleaching chemicals used in the paper industry, according to a regulatory filing overnight.

The claimant, Cartel Damage Claims, said it has also settled a suit against Belgian chemicals giant Solvay, bringing to a close
