Fighting high energy prices: EU Commission looks to profit redistribution, revenue caps

New details of the European Commission's plan to bring down high energy prices emerged today as the EU executive is expected to unveil the proposed legislation today.

Measures include precise figures on fossil-fuel companies’ extra profit redistribution, a cap on non-gas-burning power providers' revenues and a binding target for cutting electricity demand at peak
