Exempting agriculture from competition law would hurt consumers, BEUC warns

Producers, processors and distributors of EU agricultural goods must remain subject to competition law constraints otherwise consumers will pay higher food prices, European consumer organization BEUC has said as policymakers debate the bloc’s agricultural policy.
