EU-Mercosur trade deal ratification is on European Council focus list after progress on sustainability

The EU's Mercosur trade agreement is likely to take up a large chunk of EU leaders’ trade discussion this evening, as negotiations have intensified on a special sustainability declaration needed to unlock the ratification process.
