EU court bucks transparency trend with ruling against beneficial ownership registers

The EU Court of Justice may have set itself on a collision course with the Financial Action Task Force, after the bloc's top court ruled that beneficial ownership registers mandated by the anti-money laundering directive are in breach of its data privacy rules.
