EU carbon border levy could co-exist with free emissions permits until 2035, latest draft says

EU makers and importers of iron, steel, cement, aluminum and fertilizers could see a carbon border levy co-exist with the handout of free carbon cap-and-trade permits until at least 2035 under draft legislation to be unveiled next week, according to a leaked copy seen by MLex.
