EU bankers’ bonuses should be linked to climate change, ECB says

EU banks' staff bonuses should be tied to fighting climate change, the European Central Bank said in a document published today (see here). 

The ECB also called for “green securitizations” and for financial markets to trade “catastrophe bonds,” in a plea for sustainable finance that will have far-reaching impacts on credit-rating agencies, insurers
