EU actively scrutinizing under-threshold deals for possible referrals, senior official says

EU merger regulators have looked at more than a dozen under-threshold mergers to assess whether they ought to be investigated, according to a senior official.

Ultimately the European Commission decided not to review the deals, said Guillaume Loriot, who is in charge of the merger division at the regulator.
