Directors face tougher controls under revisions to UK Corporate Governance Code

Directors of UK-listed companies face a tougher regime and more accountability under revisions to the Corporate Governance Code, which was published for consultation by the audit watchdog today. 

The main changes cover reporting on audit, assurance and risk, as well as new requirements for sustainability and environmental, social and governance, or ESG, reporting
