Digital mergers see EU regulator flagging dominance and leveraging, Wilpshaar says

Protecting dominance on core markets and leveraging market power are red flags for the EU watchdog in assessing digital mergers, a top official from the European Commission said today.

Annemiek Wilpshaar, head of the watchdog's department assessing digital mergers, highlighted two types of concerns that repeatedly arise in its assessment of digital mergers:
