DIC seeks EU approval to buy BASF's pigments business

Japanese chemicals company DIC has sought European Commission approval to buy BASF’s global pigments business.

The EU regulator has set an initial June 24 deadline to decide on the deal, according to an update today on its register of notified cases.

DIC announced the acquisition in August, saying it would create a “world-class” manufacturer
