Credit information sector needs improvements to be relevant for borrowers, UK FCA says

The credit information market needs to improve as consumers are unaware of how their data is used and the sector is overly concentrated, the UK Financial Conduct Authority said today.

Research by the regulator has found that parts of the credit reference agency sector are not working well for consumers, the FCA said,
