Corrupt UK officials must be better 'punished and deterred,' legal review body says

UK public officials who take bribes from businesses or act corruptly would face a sharper risk of prosecution under recommendations made by the body responsible for reviewing laws in England and Wales.

The Law Commission today proposed that corrupt officials must be better "punished and deterred" through reform of the UK's "vague and outdated" offense
