Consumer rights group's appeal of Marfrig-BRF deal approval dismissed by CADE's Tribunal

The Brazilian competition authority’s Tribunal has dismissed an appeal filed by a national consumer rights group against approval of food processing company Marfrig Global Foods' planned acquisition of a 31.66 percent stake in rival BRF.
The deal was unconditionally approved by the Superintendence of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense,
