Complex mergers could be blocked if structural remedies are not feasible during pandemic, CADE’s Sakowski says

Mergers that require structural remedies that are unfeasible at the moment because of the pandemic and that can't be approved with behavioral remedies may be blocked by the Brazilian competition authority, the agency's deputy superintendent in charge of merger reviews said in her first public speech after taking office.
