Common ownership poses risk to competition but is hard to prove, top Australian official says

The common ownership of minority stakes in companies is already harming competition in Australia, although demonstrating a link between investors lobbying company boards and breaches of antitrust law would be difficult, the country’s top antitrust enforcer has said.
