Clearview AI loses California court move to scuttle privacy claims

Clearview AI has failed to defeat claims that facial recognition services the company sold to law enforcement agencies violated California state privacy laws, a decision that focused not on its scraping of faces from online platforms but on its creation and maintenance of a biometric database.
