Cargotec, Konecranes face formal EU charges over merger

Cargotec and Konecranes are facing formal EU objections to their planned merger, MLex has learned.

The European Commission opened an in-depth investigation into the deal in July, voicing concerns that merging Europe’s two largest suppliers of container-handling equipment could lead to higher prices and less choice.
