Burdens of EU merger control are disadvantaging large European players, industrial lobby says

An association of Europe's largest industrial companies — from Siemens to Solvay, Volvo to Umicore and Barilla to Nestlé — has launched a fierce attack on the complexity of the EU's merger-control regime, urging a raft of changes to stop it being a “real competitive disadvantage” for large European players.
