Brazil consumer protection agency asks CADE to include pharmaceutical companies in price-gouging probe

The Brazilian Institute for Consumer Protection (Idec) has asked the national competition authority to include pharmaceutical producers in a price-gouging probe opened last year, given the critical situation of the country’s stocks of medicines to treat Covid-19.

Idec has also asked the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, to let it participate
