Banks' climate-change risks necessitate review of global rules, Basel Committee warns

Banks face potentially considerable losses from climate-related financial risks, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision warned in two reports today, as it said it would investigate whether existing policies are appropriate to respond to these threats.
