Bank, insurance capital should respond to climate risks, not incentivize green lending, BOE says

Financial capital requirements are relevant in the move to a net-zero economy but only to deal with the consequences of climate change, the Bank of England said today, as the debate over whether lenders should get lower prudential rules for green lending continues.
