Arbitration deals compatible with EU law only if awards can be reviewed by national courts, legal opinion says

Individual arbitration agreements between EU governments and foreign investors are only compatible with EU law if the resulting awards can be “comprehensively” reviewed by national courts, a legal opinion prepared for the EU’s top court has said.
