AMD on track for EU approval for Xilinx deal by end of June

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices appears on track to secure EU approval for its takeover of Xilinx by the end of June after skipping the chance to offer concessions to the bloc's merger regulator, MLex has learned.

The deadline to table remedies to European Commission investigators in their phase I probe was yesterday.
