Amazon, Apple, other platforms shouldn't be able to rely on EU's VBER, says Bundeskartellamt

Google, Apple and other tech platforms should be barred from relying on an EU antitrust safe harbor for their distribution models, according to Germany's competition authority.

The Bundeskartellamt published today its comments on a draft EU revision of the Vertical Block Exemption Regulation, or VBER, which regulates vertical relations in the economy.
