Airlines face choice to operate ‘ghost flights’ as EU stands firm on rules

Airlines operating at EU airports will still need to operate at least 50 percent of their scheduled flights to maintain their allocated takeoff and landing times even if airlines are arguing they may have to fly their planes empty, a senior EU official said today.
