Air Canada skips chance to amend Transat deal; in-depth EU probe looms

Air Canada has passed up an opportunity to amend its bid to buy Montreal-based competitor Transat AT, a deal under review by the European Commission.

The buyer had until midnight last night to submit amendments to the deal to address any competition concerns that the commission might have raised.
