Japanese election results may slow regulatory agenda, complicate some policies

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba's election defeat on Sunday has thrown the country's once-stable regulatory landscape into disarray. Ishiba's Liberal Democratic Party, or LDP, and its coalition partner won only 215 seats, falling short of the 233 needed for a majority in the House of Representatives.
