Visa’s deal for Plaid could attract a close review by US antitrust regulators as the payments giant looks to secure its role in a more digital future. 

The $5.3 billion deal, announced in January, will give Visa a stronger position in the digital payments ecosystem, where Plaid’s network helps connect consumers’ banking information
