Comment: ‘Last resort’ EU price cap on gas derivatives is designed to never be activated

A proposed emergency cap on EU gas prices may never be used given the strict conditions for its activation, and that may be what allows it to pass into law in the face of determined opposition from certain countries in the bloc.
