Several major legal disputes involving the US Federal Trade Commission and key tech companies Apple and Qualcomm, are primed to go to trial on the West Coast of the United States early in 2019.

These all lead up to the blockbuster antitrust trial between Apple and Qualcomm, and contract manufacturers who assemble Apple devices, scheduled to begin April 15. In that one-month trial, MLex has reported exclusively, more than $25 billion could be at stake if Apple and the contract manufacturers are successful in pursing their claims against Qualcomm.

Three MLex reporters who will be covering those trials - Josh Sisco, Amy Miller, and Mike Swift - discuss what’s at stake for regulators, companies and the industry as a result of those tech-legal disputes in early 2019, as well as other impending regulatory and litigation issues involving Facebook, Google and other Silicon Valley companies.
