The approval of new comprehensive data protection laws in California in late June and in Brazil in August, along with the proposal of a new national data protection law for India, capped three months have arguably been the most momentous period in the history of global privacy law. What’s at stake for businesses that collect and process personal data in each of those jurisdictions?
