Three European derivatives trading systems given access to US traders in `good faith’ CFTC signal

Three European derivatives trading systems were granted access to US traders by officials who described it in part as a “good faith” signal to the EU as it considers how to effect a law that could impact American clearinghouses.

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission voted 4-1 to approve registration applications of Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Paris and Germany-based European Energy Exchange, or EEX, boards of trade, which run electronic trading systems.
