Banks fault FSB report on impact of post-crisis reforms on lending to small, mid-size firms

A Financial Stability Board review of the impact of post-crisis international reforms on lending to small and mid-sized enterprises should be expanded to cover a complete economic cycle and individual jurisdictions, banking groups said.

The Institute of International Finance and the European Banking Federation said that the global authority’s favorable evaluation of the effect of Basel III and other recent Group of 20 standards is “premature.”
