Access rigorous and detailed insight, commentary and analysis of antitrust and merger regulation in the United Kingdom with MLex's UK Competition and Merger Control service.

A New Editorial Team Covering More Cases, Deals & Details

MLex UK will cover antitrust and merger control regulated and enforced by UK authorities and litigated before UK courts.

The new module will also offer detailed insight into UK competition rulemaking and lawmaking processes, as well as providing comprehensive coverage of the cases and investigations that take place at national level. A new editorial team – led by former Wall Street Journal journalist Simon Zekaria – will be providing exclusive insight and analysis into deals and cases that MLex would not have covered previously.

Post Brexit, A New Regulatory Regime

With Article 50 now triggered, the power and reach of UK antitrust regulators is set to expand as the UK sets off on its path to exiting the EU. What those powers finally look like and how they are enforced will be subject to negotiations and deliberation. But as jurisdiction over merger reviews and antitrust investigations returns to the UK, understanding the risks and opportunities that enforcement can bring will be critical to companies that operate in the UK and their advisors.
