MLex coverage shortlisted for UK media award

MLex Senior Correspondent Matthew Holehouse has been shortlisted for the prestigious British Journalism Awards for Specialist Media for his coverage of the Brexit negotiations.
Holehouse is one of three finalists in the category for Legal news, which recognizes high-quality work that is revelatory, rigorous and serves the public interest.
“Matthew’s work cuts through all the noise around Brexit and shines a light on what the real impact of Brexit will be on legislation, politics, industry and citizens,” said Ana Rita Rego, MLex’s London Managing Editor. “Matthew’s relentless, balanced reporting has made him an authoritative figure in shaping the Brexit debate.”
This is the first year the Press Gazette runs the British Journalism Awards for Specialist Media. The Press Gazette has been rewarding excellence in journalism through the British Journalism Awards for six years, which are now perceived as the UK's equivalent to the Pulitzer Prize in the United States.
The awards ceremony will take place at Stationers’ Hall in London on Monday Sept. 17, 2018.
